How the calculation works
required grams = required length ÷ labeled length × labeled grams
Yarn count systems differ between fibers and manufacturers. Reading a specific label avoids confusing cotton counts, wool counts, and plies. The estimate assumes uniform yarn and an accurate net-weight label.
