A few useful answers.

Help with the tools and your files.

Can I use the web tools for free?

Yes. The complete single-project planner, all 14 calculators, project export, CSV, and print are free. Offline kits add convenience and workflows for repeated projects.

Are the default projects tested weaving patterns?

No. They are editable arithmetic examples. Select a structure, sample your yarn, and verify your draft independently.

Where is my saved project?

In local storage for this browser and site. It is not automatically synchronized. Export JSON for a portable backup. An offline file may have separate or unavailable storage depending on your browser.

Why do my numbers differ from another calculator?

Compare the definitions, not just the percentage values. Check cloth loss versus yarn take-up, sampling, fringe, outside waste, repeat rounding, and purchase reserve.

Can I change to metric?

Yes, the main planner converts dimensions, density, and output units together. Supporting tools state their units next to each input.

Why is the output hidden after I edit?

The previous calculation no longer matches the inputs. Select Calculate to produce a fresh result.

What if importing fails?

Import a version-1 WeaveCompass JSON project, not a CSV or a PDF. A project file is limited to 200 KB. For a studio backup, use the separate collection import in the offline Studio or Workshop tool.

Can I use the reed sequence on a rigid-heddle loom?

Not automatically. The reed tool models conventional dents; rigid-heddle slot and hole constraints need a loom-specific threading plan.

Do the kits require subscriptions?

No. Planned kit prices are one-time purchases for version 1.0. Sales are not open until seller setup is complete.
