Warp yarn yardage calculator
Turn an end count and winding length into total warp yarn and a purchase reserve.

How the calculation works
total warp yards = ends × yards per end; purchase yards = total × (1 + reserve)
Use the final, repeat-adjusted end count. Do not apply shrinkage or loom waste a second time if they are already included in your winding length. If different colors have different winding lengths, calculate them separately.
Full calculation methodologyWorked example
240 ends at 3.5 yd need 840 yd. A 10% buying reserve raises the shopping amount to 924 yd.
